Rudnya (Russian: Рудня) is a town in Smolensk Oblast, Russia, located on the Malaya Berezina River (Dnieper's basin) some 68 km northwest of Smolensk. Population: 9,800 (2005 est.); 9,853 (2002 Census); 11,032 (1989 Census).
Rudnya was first mentioned in 1363 as a settlement of Rodnya. It was granted town status in 1926.
