Rudraprayag district, (Hindi: रुद्रप्रयाग जिला) is a district of Uttarakhand state of northern India. The district occupies an area of 2439 km². Rudraprayag town is the administrative headquarters of the district.
The district is bounded by Uttarkashi District on the north, Chamoli District on the east, Pauri Garhwal District on the south, and Tehri Garhwal District on the south.

Rudraprayag district came into existence on 16 September, 1997. This district was carved out by amalgamating the following areas of three erstwhile districts:
- The complete Agastyamuni and Ukhimath blocks and parts of Pokhri and Karnaprayag blocks of the erstwhile Chamoli district.
- Parts of Jakholi and Kirtinagar blocks of the erstwhile Tehri Garhwal district
- Part of Khirsu block of the erstwhile Pauri Garhwal district

As of 2001[update] Indian census, the Rudraprayag district has a population of 227,439. Hindus 225,773, Muslims 1,406 (.61%), religion not stated 90[1].
