Ruje Yasmin (Bengali: রূজী ইয়াসমীন; born 14 March 1988) is an English production journalist, television producer, news reporter and deputy news editor for ITV Meridian.

Education and career[edit]

Yasmin was born in London, England.[1] She graduated with MA in Television Journalism at City University London,[2][3] where she got an National Union of Journalists (NUJ) scholarship. She has previous journalism experience from placements and freelance work she has done at ITV national news, BBC London, Institute for War and Peace Reporting, CTVC and BBC Points West in Bristol.[1]

Yasmin was an ING trainee at ITV News West Country in Bristol newsroom until April 2013,[1] when won the ITV News Traineeship and now produces programmes for ITV Meridian.[4]
