Ryan International is a senior secondary school in Sector-39, Noida, India. It was founded in 1992 with 28 students and 8 teachers on its rolls. It is run by the St. Xavier's Educational Society.

History and Traditions

Ryan International School Noida was started in the early 1990s. The school functioned in a rented building. In 1995 its own building was developed in sector 39 at plot D-46, Noida.

Special annual days include Teacher's Day, Environment Week, Children's Day, Sports Day, and Independence Day.

Teacher's Day celebration is organised by students of class 12th and 11th.

Independence day is celebrated by a march past by all the four houses of the school (Newton, Raman, Aryabhata and Einstein), with the house captains holding their house flags and leading the students. Then there are items such as skating showcase, and singing of patriotic songs by the choir group of the school.

The election for school cabinet is conducted every year in the month of July and all the children, sixth class onwards, are allowed to vote and choose their leaders.

Infrastructure

The school is divided in 3 wings and is separated into two buildings. One of the buildings contains the Montessori sections and is a little away from the main building. The main building has 3 floors and a basement, and is divided into two blocks, A and B. Block A contains all the junior classes (classes 1-8) and the biology lab. Block B has the senior classes (classes 9-12), the chemistry and the physics labs, and the office.

The school has a vast ground which contains a basketball court, a football field, cricket nets, volleyball court and a tennis court. The sports room is located in a corner of the ground and has the option of several indoor sports like carom, chess and table tennis. A badminton court is located in block A.

Apart from these the school has a library with 1000+ books, a dance and music room and a NCC (National Cadet Corps (India)) room. A well maintained garden is also present in the front part of the school and is used to practice Bonsai and vermi-composting.

Achievements

Among all Ryans in the Delhi-NCR region Ryan Noida is famous for its achievements in sports, especially in basketball, in which the school has several times won the inter-school competition in both, boys and girls.

Cricket and football were average until 2009 when the school started achieving in those games too. Others games such as volleyball, tennis and the newly introduced badminton still remain average though they show scope of development.

Many players from the school basketball, cricket and football team have performed at the state level and also achieved.

Apart from sports the school has also achieved big, in various inter-school quizzes. In the Limca Book of Records quiz hosted in late 2010 Sanyam and Piyush from class-8 helped the school secure the 5th position in NCR and in the Kaho What's Your Idea quiz Raunaq also from standard 8 helped the school secure the 6th position in NCR.

The school also has famous students like Tanya Paul, who got the President's Award in painting, and Arjun Vajpai the famous Indian mountaineer.

In the academic year 2010-11, the school introduced a very unique prize called the "Mentor's Minute" which involves the teachers asking questions from students all over the year and the child who answers the maximum number of questions wins the prize. The school has also taken part in INMUN and has also started programs such as Iceplex and BBN. Ryan Noida is an exceptional school, its has been a part of various international events. Events such as presidential class rooms, INMUN , ICFA , IIFA. school also organizes BBN 'Beyond Breaking News' Iceplex. Many students Like Siddharth Sujan, Riya Bawa, Shriya Parimoo, Subhagat Bhatacharya, Aditya Dhunna, Rimsha Hamza have enrolled for this program .
