Ryan Christopher Jackson (born May 10, 1988) is an American professional baseball shortstop for the San Diego Padres of Major League Baseball. He played college baseball at the University of Miami.

Professional career[edit]

Jackson was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the fifth round of the 2009 Major League Baseball Draft out of the University of Miami.[1][2]

Jackson was called up to the majors for the first time on August 10, 2012.

Jackson was claimed off waivers by the Houston Astros On November 20, 2013

Jackson was traded to the San Diego Padres on December 18, 2013 in exchange for Jesús Guzmán.
