Ryan Naraine, born 20 January 1971 in Georgetown, Guyana, is a tech news journalist living and working in New York City.
He began his journalism career at the Stabroek News, a daily newspaper in Guyana, before migrating to the USA in 1994. Based in New York, he has worked at several community-based publications including the Cricket International, Caribbean New Yorker and Caribbean Daylight in various editorial capacities.
Naraine started technology news reporting for @NY, a news site covering start-ups in Silicon Valley. @NY later morphed into internetnews.com where Naraine specialised in covering Internet security and emerging technologies.
He also runs the popular CaribbeanCricket.com, a Web site dedicated to the game of cricket in the West Indies. Naraine's West Indies Cricket Blog is widely read and cited in the Caribbean region.
