Ryan Whitney Newman, (born April 24, 1998), is an American teen actress, singer and model. Newman is known for her roles as Ginger Falcone in Zeke and Luther, Cindy Collins in Zoom and Emily Hobbs in See Dad Run. As a child model, Newman has participated in many photo shoots such as Inspire Magazine, Kaiya Eve Photoshoots 2009 and Dream Magazine. Newman not only works in films and television shows, but has also filmed many commercials throughout the years.

Early life[edit]

Newman was born on April 24, 1998 in Manhattan Beach, California. At an early age, Ryan was determined to pursue a career in entertainment. With a number of national print ads under her belt, Ryan booked the first commercial she ever auditioned for, a Kraft Cheese spot.

Career[edit]

2006-2007: Career beginnings[edit]

Newman made her feature film debut at the age of seven in the films Zoom and Monster House. Newman co-starred opposite Tim Allen, Courtney Cox, and Chevy Chase in Sony's Zoom, Newman portrays a young super hero that seeks to save the world from destruction, a role that required her to train in martial arts.

2010-2012: Breakthrough[edit]

On the small screen, Newman appeared in multiple seasons of Disney's hit show Hannah Montana as a young Miley Cyrus as well as in the Disney Channel Original Series, Good Luck Charlie. Later, Newman was cast as the precocious antagonist, Ginger Falcone, in Disney XD's Zeke and Luther. Her character constantly looks for ways to torment her brother Zeke and his best friend Luther.

In 2010, Newman won the Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a TV Series by a Leading Actress. Newman was nominated among four other contenders that included Miley Cyrus for Hannah Montana and Miranda Cosgrove for iCarly.

2012-present: Upcoming projects[edit]

In 2012, Newman was cast as the lead role of Emily Hobbs, on See Dad Run, which premiered on Nick at Nite on October 6, 2012.

2014[edit]

At the end of July 2014 she traveled to Cambodia, supporting Heifer International.[2]

Personal Life[edit]

Newman resides in Southern California, U.S. with her mother and father, with her older sister, Jessica Newman. Her hobbies include gymnastics, dancing, and singing.
