Skye is of Japanese and Caucasian descent whose career background centered around screen acting in which she trained for over 15 years. She was a former exotic dancer at Cheetah's in Los Angeles before starting in adult video.The 5'2" 97-pound Skye calls her start in adult video "unexpected." [2]
A self-described fan of a wide range of music, members of L.A. Guns, W.A.S.P., White Lion and Black Line appeared at Skye's birthday at the Universal CityWalk.[3] She was also a frequent co-host of adult personality Tony Batman's A! Entertainment.[4]
Skye is pursuing a degree in gender studies with a minor in human sexuality. As an active feminist, she identifies herself as being sex-positive by supporting pornography as a source of empowerment for women and arguing against anti-pornography and radical feminism. She is known in the feminist community for her statement "I feel that the majority of feminists, particularly conservative or radical ones have lost track of the true definition of what feminism is. It as if they are lost in the idea that women are not sexual creatures just as men, but instead victims to sexuality in general". After graduating, she plans on going to graduate school to become a marriage counselor and sex therapist after her career in adult video is over; she is a former theatre and graphic design major.[5]
She is known in the adult industry for her appearance in feature title,[2] including movies for Wicked Pictures and Sex Z Pictures.[1] She also has a toy modeled from her from Topco, an adult toy company [6] and expressed an interest in producing fetish scenes with award-winning director David Stanley.[7]
Skye has also been featured in the 2008 movie Sex and the City. She appeared with fellow adult actress Roxy DeVille and mainstream actor Gilles Marini.[8] Since then she was featured in Dexter, appeared on Entertainment Tonight for her Gilligan's Island Adult Parody and Maury Povich, In 2011, she co-starred in the mainstream documentary style feature film "Cinema Salvation".
