São João do Polêsine is a municipality in the state Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.
Paleontology[edit]
This city belongs to the geopark of Paleorrota.
This situated approximately 50 kilometers from the city of Santa Maria.
In this city there are outcrops with fossils. The CAPPA (Research Center for Support of Palaeontology), is under construction in this city.
