São Roque is a civil parish in the municipality of Ponta Delgada in the Portuguese archipelago of the Azores. The population in 2001 was 4414 inhabitants, in an area of approximately 7.2 square kilometres (2.8 sq mi); there were about 613 per kilometers square. The parish is known for its beach, Praia da Milicia, along the coast and accessed from Ponta Delgada and the neighboring municipality of Lagoa. The mountains dominate the north while the rest of the land are farmlands.
