Merei is a commune in Buzău County, Romania. It is composed of eleven villages: Ciobănoaia, Dealul Viei, Dobrileşti, Gura Sărăţii, Izvoru Dulce, Lipia, Merei, Nenciuleşti, Ogrăzile, Sărata-Monteoru and Valea Puţului.
