The MZ SM 125 is a lightweight motard that was made by MZ Motorrad- und Zweiradwerk GmbH in Germany.[1] With its engine having less than 125 cc capacity, and producing no more than 15 hp (11 kW), the SM 125 could be ridden by riders over 18 years of age with certified Compulsory Basic Training in the United Kingdom.[2]
Production ended at or before the Zschopau factory's closing in 2008.[citation needed]
