SM City Cagayan de Oro is a shopping mall owned and operated by SM Prime Holdings, the largest mall operator in the Philippines. It is the 2nd SM Supermalls located on Mindanao island and the first SM Supermalls in Northern Mindanao area.
The mall is located at Fr. Masterson Avenue Cor. Gran Via St., Pueblo de Oro Township, Uptown Carmen, Cagayan de Oro City, Misamis Oriental.[1]
It opened on November 2002 with a total floor area of 86,288 m² on a 15 hectares land.

SM City Cagayan de Oro Facade and interior have similarities to SM City Batangas, SM City Davao and SM City Pampanga.
The mall opened in November 15, 2002 with a 56,288m2 area offering more shopping and dining options. It also has a 30,000m2 car park building.
The mall consists of a rectangle-shaped building and an outdoor and indoor parking. The mall features anchors like SM Department Store, SM Supermarket and SM Cinemas. It also features other anchors like National Bookstore, Watsons Drugstore, Surplus Shop, SM Appliance Center, BDO, Cyberzone and ACE Hardware.
The mall itself is now undergoing major renovation which is set to finish by first quarter of 2012. The mall will be updated to the new uniformed facede of SM Supermalls featuring colored boxes on the facade.
