STAR Chinese Movies (was formerly known as STAR TV Mandarin Movies Channel) is a 24-hours Hong Kong Cantonese movie channel owned by STAR TV and Fox International Channels, subsidiaries of News Corporation. It features Chinese films with Chinese stars including Jackie Chan, Chow Yun-fat, Michelle Yeoh, Andy Lau, Sammi Cheng and Stephen Chow. There are currently three feeds of this channel: STAR Chinese Movies (broadcast in Hong Kong Cantonese and exclusively for Hong Kong audiences), STAR Chinese Movies (broadcast in Hong Kong Cantonese and is available for other Southeast Asia countries such as Hong Kong and Singapore) and STAR Mandarin Movies (broadcast in Taiwanese Mandarin and exclusively for Republic of China audiences), It series that are produced by the Hong Kong Movie Awards and Hong Kong International Film Festival special won's winning Hong Kong Cantonese channel.

It was launched on 1 May 1994 who was replaced BBC World when exit from STAR TV because different opinion with communist in 1994. At that time, it screened both American English-Hong Kong English and Hong Kong Cantonese movies and catered to a pan-Asian audience split into two stations: STAR Movies (was formerly known as STAR TV American Movies Channel) – is a American English-Hong Kong English movie channel and STAR Chinese Movies (was formerly known as STAR TV Mandarin Movies Channel) - is a Hong Kong Cantonese movie channel.

Boasting the world’s largest contemporary Chinese film library, STAR Chinese Movies 2 showcases some of the best movies from the Golden Age of Hong Kong productions from the 1970 to 1994 runtime a 24 years, 4 months. With 24 hours of commercial-free and non-stop programming, the channel offers a line-up of box office blockbusters featuring top rated movie stars and directors. Early films by Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Chow Yun Fat, Jet Li, and Stephen Chow are frequently aired. All the movies are broadcast in Mandarin with Chinese and English subtitles. The STAR Chinese Movies multiplex channels are divided into special packages. In Hong Kong, Cable TV's package is STAR CHINESE MOVIES PACK, In Philippines, SkyCable package is STAR CHINESE MOVIES PACK. In Singapore, StarHub TV's all package is called STAR CHINESE MOVIES PACK.
