Saat Phere was a Hindi television serial that was broadcasted on Zee Tv from 2005 to 2009. The show became very popular and cemented Zee Tv's lost status and also later its popularity brought it back in channel toppers. The last episode was broadcast on 28 May 2009. Also it is India's ninth longest running serial

Saloni is a young woman who has a dark complexion. The story shows how Saloni's courage and strength help her to come out of the shadow of her complexion and also undertake a journey to search for her own identity; hence the tagline - "Saloni ka safar" which means "Saloni's journey".

Eldest daughter of Ambika and Narpat Singh. An incredibly dutiful daughter, she loves her family. She has adopted Shweta as her daughter. She is now in jail after Aditya blamed her for the murder of his mother, Urvashi. She has also found out that Savri is her own daughter. (protagonist)

Nahar was Saloni's husband. He committed suicide by walking into the River Ganges. He was actually fed a medicine by Urvashi and his doctor friend that caused him to lose his senses. His lookalike Swami Amritanand acted as Nahar to help Saloni. (protagonist)

He thinks that is why Nahar got a tumor and is slowly dying. He became insane after seeing Saloni in a widow's attire. However, after many years, he has recovered completely and taken on the household duties again.
