The local high school team plays their home games at the local baseball field, as well as a "town ball" team, which has existed sporadically since the 1990s. "Town Ball" is a term commonly used in Minnesota to refer to amateur league baseball teams that do not have age or grade requirements. Recently, Minnesota town teams have gone back to using wooden bats, which has resulted in a sharp decrease in the number of injuries resulting from batted balls hitting fielders in the face.
