Saline Middle School (also nicknamed SMS) is a middle school in Saline, Michigan. A part of Saline Area Schools, it currently houses grades 6-8. As of 2005, there are about 60 staff members and 900 students. In the 2010-2011 school year, the school will be housing 6th graders in addition to 7th and 8th graders .
For the 2006-2007 school year, the middle school moved into the "old" high school building (which had been vacant for two years) on Maple Road. At roughly 23,225 m² (250,000 sq ft), the building is more than double the size of the now vacant Saline Liberty School. The Middle School also now houses the Saline Senior Center in one of buildings wings. There is room for 1,100 students in the new facility.
