Salting Jobe is an alternative metal band based out of Houston, Texas. They are composed of Mike Deisher on vocals and acoustic guitar, Doug Aparicio on guitars and backing vocals, Lee Austin on drums, and Kris Wood on bass guitar.
The band enjoys a large fan base in the local Houston area, and also has an extensive Myspace following. Salting Jobe was featured in the Events section of the November 2006 issue of Guitar World Magazine. The band's official website is also their Myspace page. They do not currently have a record label, although they are seeking one.
They play primarily at clubs in or around the Houston area and also participate often in local music festivals and concerts.
Former bass player Stephen Beauregard (aka Steebo) created the initial website that houses the Houston Band Coalition, www.hbclive.com.
