House, buttons[edit]

Above the display the loudspeaker can be found, to the right, the secondary camera (3G). On the left side of the telephone the volume control button can be found, below this, the Micro SD card slot. On the right side, the photography button can be found. The phone will go into photography mode when the button is held in while in the idle state.

Menu[edit]

There are 3×4 icons in the menu. The icons from up to down and from left to right: Call log, Phonebook, Multimedia, Browser, Messages, My files, Calendar, Camera, Entertainment, Applications, Alarms, Settings.

Themes[edit]

There are three standard themes on the phone: Monolithic Purity, Élégance Noire and Samsung Theme. The themes can be edited and new themes can be created in the User Created Skins feature.

Phonebook[edit]

In the memory of the telephone 1000 names are storable plus 250 on the SIM card. Every contact stored on the phone may have the following details added to their contact information: First name, last name, display name, mobile - private, landline - private, email - private, group, caller ID, ringtone, birthday and notes.

Multimedia[edit]

There are 3 programs in the multimedia: music player, FM radio and voice recorder. The music player plays Mp3, AAC and WMA. The music player comes with three visualisations. The player and FM radio can both be minimized to a mini player on the home screen and will carry on playing during phone usage.

My files[edit]

Inside the my files six defaul folders can be found: Camera album, Images, Videos, Sounds, Games and more and Other files. When a memory card is inserted, the files on the card will be shown under the files of the phone memory. The phone supports up to 8gb microSD cards.

Camera and video[edit]

3.0 MP camera with LED flash, Mp4 and 3gp video recording and playback. The camera has functions such as single shot, multi-shot, mosaic shot, frame shot and panorama shot. It also has a timer and effects such as greyscale, sepia, negative and watercolour.

Entertainment[edit]

The entertainment section holds all games and applications installed on the phone after purchase. It also holds the image editor, an editor made for editing images with effects, rotations, resizing and more, the video editor edits videos to add backfround sound or music and to add more than one video in one file.

Applications[edit]

Inside the applications 10 pieces of menu item can be found: Bluetooth, RSS reader, Memo, Task, World Clock (the secondary clock of another city can also be displayed on the home screen, along with the time of the home city), Calculator, Converter, Timer and Stopwatch.
