San Franceso d'Assisi Airport (IATA: PEGICAO: LIRZ), also known as Perugia Airport (Italian: Aeroporto di Perugia-San Francesco d'Assisi) and Umbria International Airport (and formerly known as Perugia Sant' Egidio), is an airport serving Perugia,[1] the capital city of the region of Umbria in central Italy.

The airport is located at an elevation of 693 feet (211 m) above mean sea level. It has one runway designated 01/19 with an asphalt surface measuring 2,199 by 45 metres (7,215 × 148 ft).[1]

It is currently being expanded, with the addition of new terminal facilities designed by the Italian architect Gae Aulenti and funded by a government grant awarded to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the unification of Italy.
