Local elections will be held in San Juan, Batangas on May 13, 2013 within the Philippine general election. The voters will elect for the elective local posts in the municipality: the mayor, vice mayor, and eight councilors.
Mayoral and vice mayoral election [edit]
Incumbent Mayor Rodolfo H. Manalo will run for his fourth term as Mayor of San Juan, Batangas under the Liberal Party. His running mate is incumbent vice mayor Octavio Antonio L. Marasigan who is running for his third term unopposed. His opponent is former mayor Danilo S. Mindanao under the United Nationalist Alliance. Manalo and Mindanao used to be allies and running mates during the elections from 1998 to 2004. Mindanao became Manalo's candidate for mayor in 2007, but became opponents in the 2010 elections, which Manalo won.

The candidates for mayor and vice mayor with the highest amount of votes wins the seat; they are voted separately, therefore, they may be of different parties when elected.
