Sandy Valley High School is a public high school in Magnolia, Ohio. It is the only high school in the Sandy Valley Local Schools district. Its mascot is a cardinal and its colors are red and gray. The Boys Cross Country team has made it to state 6 of the past 9 years and to regionals for the last 9 years. They won the league in and district in 2007. They qualified to State in 2008 as well, winning the league and were district runner-ups.
The Girls Cross Country team won the league and made it to State in 2007, along with winning the program's first district title. In 2008 they repeated as league and district champs and qualified to State again . They have won the league the past 9 years.
The Wrestling team has won the league conference for the past decade (2001- 2011)
Head Wrestling Coach John Groff is also among the top 5 coaches all time in dual meet wins in the Ohio High School Athletic Association(OHSAA)
The Track team has sent athletes to State the past three years and have had three state champions: Joe Crallie - Long Jump (1994/1995), Jason Calkins - High Jump (1995), and Mike Coates - 1600m Run (2004).
- Joe Crallie currently holds the Div II and III State(Ohio) Long Jump records.
