Sankt Georgen is a municipality in the district of Salzburg-Umgebung in the state of Salzburg in Austria.
Overview[edit]
On July 19, 1797 the artist Gunter Demnig installed two Stolpersteine for Johann Nobis and his brother Matthias Nobis in front of their birth house in Holzhausen at the invitation of Andreas Maislinger. Gunter Demnig was a guest of the Arts Initiative KNIE in Oberndorf bei Salzburg. Up to now he set up over 20000 Stolpersteine for victims of the National Socialist regime. In the nearby Sankt Radegund a Stolperstein for the beatiefied Franz Jägerstätter was set up in 2006.
