Santa Barbara County Probation Department

The Santa Barbara County Probation Department provides services for those placed on probation within Santa Barbara County, California, USA. Patricia J. Stewart is the current Chief Probation Officer.

The department was established in 1910 following the enactment of California's first probation laws. After 97 years in service, there are currently 119 probation officers keeping tabs on 6,600 adults and 1,350 juveniles as of 2007.[1]
