Sasregen is a Hasidic dynasty from Reghin, Romania. Rabbi Mordechai Dovid Rubin is the present Sasregener Rebbe in the Midwood section of Brooklyn, New York. His father was Rabbi Jacob Israel Jeshurun Rubin, (of the Ropshitz dynasty) and his mother was the Rebbitzen Alte Nechama Malka Dachner daughter of Rabbi Chaim Dachner of Seret son in law of Grand Rabbi Shmuel Schmelke Rubin of Seret. Both of Rabbi Mordechai Dovid's parents were killed in the Holocaust.
His son is the Bobover Ruv Rabbi Yehoshua Rubin of 45th street, who is the son-in-law of the late Grand Rabbi Naftali Halberstam of Bobov. His brothers are the past Muzhay rebbe z"l and the Sulitzer Rebbe shlit"a, of NY.
