The Scarborough Lily (Cyrtanthus elatus, previously known as Vallota speciosa) is a red flowering plant also known as the Fire Lily or George Lily. The flowers of a Scarborough Lily can be bright red, orange, yellow, or occasionally pink or white. The stems can grow to a height of up to 2 feet. These are attractive plants that are relatively easy to grow, and can be grown in pots. They require either full sun or slight shade.
The plant comes from South Africa. It flowers in later Summer or early Fall.
