Schastia (Ukrainian: Ща́стя, Shchastya, Russian: Сча́стье Schastye) is a city in Luhansk Oblast (province) of Ukraine. Population is 13,770 (2001). North of Schastia, there is Luhanskaya GRES, Russian: Луганская ГРЭС ) a large powerplant built in the 1950s. Town Schastia is stand on the river Seversky Donets.
History:
1754 - was founded village Schastia
1953 - beginning of building VEPS (Voroshilovgrad Electric Power station) or Luhansk Thermal Electric Station.
1963 - Schastia becomes town.
