SchemeServe was founded in Oxford, United Kingdom in October 2000 by Adam Bishop and originally traded under the name ADM Digital Nervous Systems, providing SaaS services, website design and e-commerce tools to regional businesses.
The company's principal software product by the same name SchemeServe was developed in 2002 to address a specific client website requirement but after further development by 2005 had become the company's main focus and in 2008 the decision was made to close the e-commerce portion of the business in order to concentrate on SchemeServe development.
In December 2012 it was decided that the company would assume a new trading name from its flagship product, and has since traded under the name SchemeServe.
