Scherpenisse is a town in the Dutch province of Zeeland. It is a part of the municipality of Tholen, and lies about 14 km west of Bergen op Zoom.
Scherpenisse was a separate municipality until 1971, when it was merged with Tholen.[1]
In 2001, the town of Scherpenisse had 1414 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.26 km², and contained 560 residences.[2] The statistical area "Scherpenisse", which also can include the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 1940.[3]
