The Nanyang Polytechnic School of Design (NYP SDN) in Singapore is a technical school providing training in digital animation, interactive media design, games design, digital film and video, and industrial design. Its resources include computer graphics laboratories, a television production studio, a motion-capture studio, multimedia and digital animation studios, and a video editing suite.
Software instruction covers industry standard film and entertainment software including 3D Studio Max, Maya, and the Vicon V8 Optical Motion Capture System. Technical skills are balanced with foundation training in visual arts. Soft skills taught include drawing, colour theory, design fundamentals, creative process, life drawing, animation principles, storyboarding, and scriptwriting.
