The Texas A&M Health Science Center, a component of the Texas A&M University System, is an assembly of colleges devoted to educating health professionals and researchers of competence and integrity. Its faculty, staff and students are united by a belief that all people — regardless of geography, economics or culture — deserve the benefits of compassionate care, superior science and exceptional health education.

Established in 1999, the HSC reaches across all parts of Texas through its seven components:

  1. Baylor College of Dentistry at Dallas
  2. the College of Medicine campuses at Temple and College Station (with offices in Houston, Corpus Christi and Round Rock (newly completed Fall 2009)
  3. the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences campuses at Dallas, College Station and Houston
  4. the Institute of Biosciences and Technology at Houston
  5. the School of Rural Public Health at College Station
  6. the Irma Lerma Rangel College of Pharmacy at Kingsville
  7. the College of Nursing in College Station, Texas

The Texas A&M Health Science Center received full accreditation in December 2002 from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award baccalaureate, master’s, doctoral and professional degrees.
