[edit] History
Scraping for Change formed in Belmont, California in 2003 and completed their first album, Heartaches and Danger, in August, 2004. They released their second album 19*6*3 in August 2008.
They played at the Playboy Mansion in May, 2007. They followed this show by taking a summer tour throughout Indonesia in July and August 2007 to play in the music festival “Soundrenaline.” The average attendance at each festival show was 50,000+. Their song “Crazy Mary” climbed to the 1 spot on the top 40 chart of Prambors Radio, above Kanye West’s “Stronger," and various other acts including Yellowcard, Sum41, Lifehouse, and Shiny Toy Guns.
In the fall of 2009 SFC recorded an E.P. with Producer Scott Llamas at Popsmear Studios in San Rafael, CA. Llamas was declared the Bay Area's most played producer by DJ Aaron Axelsen of Live 105 (KITS). After several weeks of airplay on Live105, "Breaking the Silence" placed Scraping for Change into one of the Top 5 Most Requested Local Bands on the Sunday night program Soundcheck.
On August 6, 2010 SFC will release its new album inspired by acts such as Broken Bells, Muse and AFI;
