Sean Flynn (born July 14, 1989)[1] is an American actor and singer best known for playing Chase Matthews on Nickelodeon's Zoey 101.

Sean Flynn was born Sean Flynn Amir in Los Angeles, California to Gideon Amir and Rory Flynn. Flynn's maternal grandparents are Errol Flynn and Nora Eddington.[1][2]

Flynn began his acting career by working on cials and landing small parts on popular shows such as Sliders and MADtv. He also appeared in several small film roles. Flynn auditioned for the role of Matt McGuire on the Disney Channel show Lizzie McGuire. Flynn went far in the auditioning process but ultimately lost the role to fellow actor Jake Thomas.[citation needed]
Flynn's big acting break came when he was chosen to portray the character Chase Matthews on the Nickelodeon show Zoey 101, a show about a girl (portrayed by Jamie Lynn Spears) and her friends who go to a boarding school in California. Flynn's character develops a crush on the lead character (Spears) early on in the show. Flynn appeared in all four seasons of Zoey 101, as well as the series finale, Chasing Zoey. The last official airing of Zoey 101 took place on 4 January 2009, with the rebroadcast of the series finale.
Flynn released an EP with two songs on iTunes in August 2009.[citation needed] His debut album was originally set to be released shortly after.[citation needed]
