[edit] Gable Heart Beats Foundation
On September 17, 2009, Michael Gable died unexpectedly at the age of 38, from the heart disease known as Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, or HCM, an excessive thickening of the heart muscle. Two weeks later, his young daughter Grace was subsequently diagnosed with Cardiomyopathy and spent her first birthday fighting for her life. Cardiomyopathy is a chronic and potentially life threatening disease of the heart that affects 1 out of 100,000 children. HCM is the #1 cause of sudden cardiac arrests in young athletes.

[edit] Michael Gable's Story
Michael grew up in the small town of Monroe, WA, just north of Seattle. He received a full athletic scholarship to Saint Mary’s College of California. It was there that he met the love of his life, Michelle, who would later become his wife and the mother of their two children, Matteo and Grace.
Throughout his life, Michael strove to break down all racial barriers and create a better world for his family. He lived each moment with love and gratitude. In 1996, Michael joined Segue and used his lyrics as a way to spread his beliefs about the equality of ALL human kind. Michael developed a reputation within the music community as an accomplished singer and songwriter.
The remaining band members are releasing an album featuring Michael’s songs entitled, “One Race Human.” All proceeds from “One Race Human” will be donated to the Gable Heart Beats Foundation.
