The Semantic Wikis for Information Management (SWIM) is a subcommittee of US CIO council SICoP which is a community of interest to investigate the use of semantic wikis for use in the US federal government.
These efforts were motivated by examples of federal agencies that have used wikis to share large amounts of information. Examples of this include work on the 2004 tsunami in South Asia and Hurricane Katrina.
