Severna Park Middle School is a national blue ribbon and a green[1] public school in Severna Park, Maryland. It is part of Anne Arundel County Public Schools, and the principal is Sharon Hansen. Approximately 1,500 students attend this school.

Its feeder schools are:

  • Oak Hill Elementary
  • Folger McKinsey Elementary
  • Jones Elementary
  • Shipley's Choice Elementary
  • Benfield Elementary
  • Severna Park Elementary

The school itself feeds into Severna Park High School.

There is currently a project entitled: "Mission:Possible" to try to raise money for technology in the classrooms(i.e., Smart Boards, laptops, iPods, etc.)[citation needed] Based on a survey, many students in the school are happy with the changes that teachers have made on the way they teach the curriculum (using technology such as smartboards and laptops), but some are unhappy because they believe that they don't have as much one on one interaction with the teachers.[citation needed] Severna Park has one of the best MSA scores in all Maryland.[citation needed] Severna Park's motto is "Park Pride".

On 2010, the school was renovated, including a new Chesapeake theme because Severna Park, Maryland is close to the Chesapeake Bay.
