Seyfarth Shaw LLP was founded in 1945 by three lawyers and has grown to more than 775 attorneys across ten offices. Seyfarth Shaw has a well-regarded[1]management side labor and employment practice, and has provided services in this area for more than 60 years. The firm's labor & employment team consists of over 300 employment specialists at all levels of experience in the firm's nine U.S. offices, and includes over 100 employment lawyers in California. Seyfarth's employment attorneys are organized on the basis of subspecialties, such as employment class actions, wage and hour issues, employee benefits lawsuits, workplace safety matters, and labor-management relations disputes. The practice is also organized on the basis of industry groups.

Seyfarth Shaw’s Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Department is among the more prominent in the country[2] The attorneys are experienced in the legal and consulting aspects of employee benefits and executive compensation plans as well as the business concerns faced by companies today. The group includes attorneys who have worked as in-house employee benefits counsel for major corporations and as employee benefits and executive compensation consultants. The group represent clients at the regional, national, and international level, and is capable of servicing a broad range of industries.

Seyfarth Shaw’s Commercial Litigation Department has more than 180 attorneys in offices throughout the United States, and works in a broad range of dispute resolution needs, nationally and internationally. The group is composed of trial and appellate attorneys.
