Shamley Green is a small village in the county of Surrey, England. Neighbouring villages include Wonersh, Chilworth, Farncombe and Bramley. Nearby railway stations include Chilworth railway station (2.3 miles) and Farncombe railway station (3.8 miles). Although Shalford Station is in fact closer as the route to Farncombe and Godalming passes through Shalford. The village has two pubs, The Bricklayers Arms and The Red Lion.

It is the birthplace and childhood home of Sir Richard Branson of Virgin Atlantic fame.[dubious ]

The village lent its name to Alfred Hitchcock's company which produced the movie Psycho for Shamley Productions.

Artist Tony Hart lived in the village for over forty years until his death.

During World War II, it hosted the Beatrix Potter Primary School, Earlsfield, London SW18
