Shape Shifters (band)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This article is about LA-based hip-hop collective. For the electronic music act from the United Kingdom/Sweden, see Shapeshifters (band). For drum and bass act from New Zealand, see Shapeshifter (band).
The Shape Shifters is a Los Angeles based underground collective of hip hop artists,[1] currently[when?] consisting of Awol One (real name Tony Martin), Existereo (real name Courtney), Die Young (real name Jose), Life Rexall, Akuma, Radioinactive (real name Kamal), Circus, LA Jae, and DJ Rob One (deceased).
The group prevented another act from the United Kingdom, The Shapeshifters, from using the name in the United States. That resulted in the latter changing its name to Shape:UK, but for the United States only.
