Shurahbil ibn Hassana, or Sharjeel ibn Hassana (583-639), was a companion of Muhammad [PBUH] and later one of the successful commanders of Rashidun army, served under Rashidun caliphs, Abu Bakr and Umar. One of the main field commander during Muslim conquest of Syria, Served in Syria from 634 till his death in 639 from plague.
