Sharon Case (born February 9, 1971) is an American actress. She is known for her roles on daytime television soap operas. Her most well-known role has been on CBS Daytime Television's The Young and the Restless. She has portrayed the role of Sharon Newman since August 1994.[1]

- Daytime television
Prior to her award-winning role on The Young and the Restless, Case portrayed characters on the CBS daytime drama, As the World Turns and ABC's General Hospital. In 1994, she portrayed Anne Welles in the late-night, syndicated television soap opera, Valley of the Dolls.
- In 1989, Case assumed the role of Dawn Winthrop on General Hospital; she left the show in 1990.
- In 1992, Case portrayed Debbie Simon on As the World Turns and remained in the role until 1993.
- In 1994, Case became the third and longest-running actress to portray Sharon Newman on The Young and the Restless, a role that she continues to play today.[2]

In addition to her daytime television work, Case has also appeared in several prime-time shows including Cheers, Beverly Hills, 90210, Parker Lewis Can't Lose, Silk Stalkings, and Doogie Howser, M.D..[2]

Case has performed in various films made for television. In 2004, she was cast in the HBO Production Breast Men with David Schwimmer. In June 2010, Case starred opposite David James Elliott in the romantic comedy Dad's Home for the Hallmark Channel. [2]

She also starred in the feature film Diplomatic Immunity, with Bruce Boxleitner and recently completed a starring role in the short film Repressions. She previously starred in the short Wentworth. In 2005, she filmed a movie called Carpool Guy with co-star Lauralee Bell.[2]

Her theater credits include lead roles in Grease, The Wizard and The Nutcracker.[2]

Sharon Case was born in Michigan in 1971. Growing up, prior to her acting career, Case aspired to be a dancer. Case also spent five months in Japan working as a model.
She is good friends with fellow Y&R actress Melody Thomas Scott, although they portray a daughter-in-law and mother-in-law who hate each other on the show. Case's favorite musician is Jewel (who also once appeared on Y&R). In 2009, Case appeared on an episode of the web series "Poor Paul" which was created by fellow Y&R cast member Kevin Schmidt.
On August 1, 2010, Sharon Case launched her own line of jewelry, named "Pomp".[3]
She was married to businessman Sandy Corzine from April 2007 to November 2009.[4] Case turned down a large role on the HBO film Breast Men because she didn't feel comfortable being topless in a movie. Instead, she accepted a smaller, clothed role in the movie, which also starred FRIENDS's.[4]

Case first started out as the third recurring actress to portray Sharon Newman, the new love interest of Nicholas Newman. She was initially signed as a recurring character, scheduled for a six month run. In the spring of 1995, she signed a contract and has appeared on the show on a regular basis for over 17 years.
The character of Sharon Newman has given birth to four children. Her first-born child was Cassie Newman, who died in an automobile accident in 2005. Cassie's father was Frank Barritt, who was Sharon's boyfriend from Madison, Wisconsin.
Nick and Sharon's son, Noah, was born in 1997. Sharon gave birth to a stillborn, unnamed daughter in 2001. Faith Cassidy Newman was born in 2009. Sharon is currently married to her former father-in-law Victor Newman as of January 13, 2012, and has been married to Nicholas Newman (1996–2006), Jack Abbott (2007–2009), and Adam Newman (2009–2010).
