Shawn Leflar
Shawn "The Tip of That Juuuuusssst Got Me" Leflar is a host of the coin show on Art and Coin TV network. He is most notable for a clip in which he attempts to demonstrate the strength of one of the katanas he is selling by banging it against a wooden table-top. The katana snaps in half and a piece hits him in his midsection. [1] This clip was recently featured on VH1's Web Junk 20 as well as Ellen and the Jimmy Kimmel show.
Leflar is a former high school, college, and professional soccer player and sometimes updates the latest happenings on the sport during his on-air segments. Before joining Art and Coin TV, Shawn hosted at Shop NBC, The Shopping Channel, Shop at Home, and 'Via TV' from 1994-1995. He also was the sideline and locker room interviewer for the 2000 MLS Allstar game.
Shawn grew up in Germantown, Tennessee outside Memphis. He majored in theatre in college and is an accomplished athlete, earning nine varsity letters in track, cross-country, soccer and wrestling. In 1998, he fulfilled his lifelong dream of attending the World Cup in France. Next on Shawn's life agenda is to "go surfing in Hawaii," he says, "or else be the grand marshal in a Disney Parade."
