Laren was an army brat, growing up on military bases at which her step-father was stationed. She worked in a boutique prior to entering the adult film industry.[2]
Laren was divorced prior to the age of 20; she stated that she told her husband she was getting a divorce during his second tour of duty in Iraq after learning of his affair with a colleague.[2]
