Shenzhen Donghai Airlines former name East Pacific Airlines is a cargo airline based in Shenzhen, People's Republic of China. It plans to develop a multi aviation business on both cargo and passenger flight between domestic major Chinese cities and international route. Its main base is Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport.[1]

The airline was established in 2006 and is owned by Shenzhen Donggang Trade (51%), Donghai United Group (25%) and Yonggang (24%).[1] Services were expected to start in August 2006 subject to gaining approval from Chinese aviation authorities. It has taken delivery of its first freighter aircraft, a Boeing 737-300 passenger plane converted into a freighter, with two further converted aircraft expected in August and September 2006.[2]
In 2010, Donghai Jet Co. Ltd. orders 5 Challenger business jet from Bombardier for business jet service, Donghai Jet Co. Ltd. received the first Canadair CL-600 business jet on 13 November.[3]

The airline's inaugural service was expected to be between Shenzhen and Shanghai, with an intention to start a service to Kunming sometime after the launch of the inaugural service. In 2008, the airlines start the service to Hong Kong - Chengdu.[2] Now, Donghai airlines flies between Hong Kong, Manila, Ho Chi Minh City, Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Hangzhou and Wuxi

Donghai Airlines has bought two Boeing 737-300 passenger aircraft from China Eastern Airlines to be converted to freighters. The aircraft were expected to be completed in time for starting freighter operations at the beginning of August 2006. Pemco World Air Services has been contracted to convert four Boeing 737-300 passenger aircraft to full freighters (ie two immediate conversions and two option aircraft).[4]
