Shirokuma is Mark Corrin, a musician, performer and producer based in Manchester and signed to local label Valentine Records. His music is diverse in style, drawing on elements of electronica, folk rock and psychedelic music. Shirokuma has featured several guest vocalists and musicians. He also records with / as Strip Prairie, Pope Innocent X, Tulip Crash, Chalice, Penguin Map Mijinko, Beat safari and Panel Beater.
