The college has three campuses. The main campus is based on the London Road in Shrewsbury whilst the other campuses are based in the Radbrook area of Shrewsbury and Stafford Park 6 in Telford. The college has working environments for students including a restaurant, a salon and a coffee shop bistro.
The college is the main provider of vocational education in the county and has a full range of full-time and part-time course available in the full range of subject areas. In May 2012 Shrewsbury College was named by The National Data Service as the highest placed general FE college in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Staffordshire based on their success rates for young students.
The college is presenting the community with exciting options for the future. Students studying from September 2013 can now combine different vocational subjects (e.g. Sport and Business) and can compliment their courses with A-levels too. Shrewsbury College is working with the community to create new Higher Education options and Professional Development courses for adults and as full-time or part-time course for students aged 18–19.
The college is currently undergoing a significant estates investment programme with over £12m being spentto create an exciting new campus at London Road.
When it comes to Higher Education, the college has a partnership with the Edge Hill University in Ormskirk for teacher training and counselling programmes, and with Staffordshire University for other areas of the curriculum. The college is a founder member of the Staffordshire University Regional Federation (SURF Consortium). Every year, the college holds a Higher Awards Ceremony in Shrewsbury Abbey.
