Sidi Bouzid Governorate (Arabic: ولاية سيدي بوزيد Wilāyat Sīdī Bū Zīd), sometimes spelt Sidi Bou Zid, is one of the 24 governorates (provinces) of Tunisia. It is situated in central Tunisia. It covers an area of 6,994 km² and has a population of 396,000 (2004 census). The capital is Sidi Bouzid.
