Sidney is an unincorporated community located in Comanche County in the U.S. state of Texas. As home of the Sidney Eagles, a variety of sports are played, including six-man football, basketball, track and field, and tennis. Other events include One-Act-Play, cheerleading, and of course, UIL events. Sidney has won many recent awards in football, including district and bi-district championships. The Sidney Independent School District serves area students.
