Simei Estate

Simei Estate is a HDB Estate in East Region of Singapore, located east of Bedok and south of Tampines. Bounded by the Pan Island Expressway, Simei Avenue, north of private estate off Upper Changi Road, Simei Road, and west of private estate off Upper Changi Road North back to the Pan Island Expressway,

The Estate is named after the Chinese "Four Beauties" (“四美” whose homophonic transliteration is "Simei") who were known to be the legendary four most beautiful women of ancient China.

Simei used to be a Malay kampung. It was cleared in February 1982 to make way for the HDB estate at Simei.

Simei is served by the Simei MRT Station at its town centre, the Pan Island Expressway to its north and the East Coast Parkway to its south.

Simei has a 6-story (excluding 1 basement) shopping mall, Eastpoint, providing everyday commercial services (e.g. an NTUC Fairprice supermarket, F&B outlets, banking services etc.)

There is also a community centre located at Simei St. 2 providing recreational and other facilities.
