Xinshi District (Chinese: 新市; pinyin: Xīnshì; Wade–Giles: Hsin-shih; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Sin-chhī; literally "Newmarket") is a rural district in central Tainan City, Taiwan. Its historical name was Sinckan (新港, Xingang, literally 'Newport') and shares the same namesake as the Sinckan language and Sinckan Manuscripts.
Part of Tainan Science Park, which was founded in 1996, lies within Xinshi.
